Living here has a little accustomed to the tradition of greasy Thursday, and this year even forgotten. Only questions in the work of “Donut Thursday” (Thursday Pączkowego) made me realize, that soon ends up carnival, and today (that is already yesterday) Fat Tuesday is.

I must confess, I was surprised by questions about donuts. It turned out, that most radio stations reported a “Polish donut feast”. I of course did not eat any (Bożenka up, or maybe three), but I know, donuts that you could buy anywhere. Local shops, Lidl… Polish bakeries had their hands full. Maybe next year I will not forget. You just need to Mardi Gras in red on the calendar to select.

O sweet thursday may forget, Tuesday pancake but can not be forgotten. Pancake Tuesday is the Irish equivalent of the Polish fat Thursday this, buds that have been replaced by pancakes. On Tuesday, should eat a lot of pancakes… to, we know from the Polish and the, which are known in American movies, Those with sugar and maple syrup, jam and without additives.

The sweet end of the carnival… for some on Thursday, for some on Tuesday. Or maybe fun for two days?
