Returning from work on Monday night stuck on the highway in a traffic jam caused by the downpour. I wondered how it is possible, that in a country, which falls by 2/3 years, rain can cause difficulties in communication. I did not know, that the amount of rain, which fell yesterday rainfall corresponded to an average over the entire month!

Because in the vicinity of our house nothing alarming was happening – not counting the big puddle, which is always in rain on a nearby roundabout – I had no idea what experienced Dublin. Only information on radio and television showed the scale of destruction that posed a clear. Flooded railway and tramway, impassable roads, flooded underground garages, buildings. The largest losses suffered unless Dundrum Shopping Centre (link to video –> Dundrum Shopping Centre pod wodą). Water rushed in there and burst into the shops at the lowest level.
